SEMCO Machine Tools, also known as Southern Engineering Machinery Co, was established in 1938 at Connaught Buildings on Millbrook Rd in Southampton. Initially, it operated as an engineering firm focused on repairing and rebuilding machinery, and it played a role in the production of the Super Marine Spitfire, which was made in Southampton.
